The Wailin' Jennys Mesa Concert reviews
Sheryl Crow & Band was well polished!
"The show at Mystic Lake Casino in Minnesota was an enjoyable experience! The Wailin' Jennys sang great, the Band was tight, and played a majority of Sheryl's "Big Hits" from her extensive music collection. It was relatively short at 90 minutes. They were filming for some live concert footage, which led Sheryl to play some cover songs. Sheryl played several songs from her new album, which she is calling a Country album due out in September. She is so innovative, I feel calling the new album "Country-Fusion", as the new song "Shotgun" really is a new type of music Sheryl has created. She did a good job covering "Tumbling Dice" as she sang live on stage with The Rolling Stones in Los Angeles a few weeks ago. The crowd at the Venue enjoyed the show, but a majority remained seated until her last three songs. At that point, the entire Venue stood up and danced & sang along with Sheryl. The bottom line is it was a nice short gig, and there is no reason to pass up a Sheryl Crow show! She is very talented, humble, down to earth, and enjoys her fans."
